Changing the qualifications of Japanese language teachers

This was also asked by Mr. Momou and on occasion also on Twitter I saw the opinion that "Japanese teachers should take a teacher's license", Help with assignment but only to teach at a Japanese language school, I do not think there is.  However, I think that it is certain that it is better to be there. This is the information I have heard from people, which is not certain, but because I will be able to work at public elementary schools and junior high schools, not Japanese schools.  Currently, children from foreign workers from foreign countries are increasingly attending Japanese schools. Of course, it is impossible for ordinary public school teachers to teach foreign children who do not understand Japanese, but it is impossible for ordinary Japanese teachers to teach at public schools.

For some reason, laws do not teach people who do not have a teacher's license at school. So it seems that people who are Japanese teachers and who also have a teacher's license are useful. Moreover, salaries of public school teachers seem to be much better than salaries of Japanese teachers at Japanese language schools.  However, I think that it will not consider bother to hire a Japanese teacher unless there is a problem and foreign children are not in a region with a certain degree of extent.

Until now, Japanese language teacher qualifications mainly include
① Japanese Teacher Training Course (commonly known as "420 hours"),
② Japanese Language Education Ability Test (commonly called "Examination Examination"),
③ Major in Japanese Language Education at the University There were three of them, especially ① was mainstream. Because there are few people who become Japanese language teachers with college graduates of ③, and in the training courses and the examination examinations, the training courses were more emphasized on the grounds that "there is no practical experience only with knowledge" (At least the information I have heard and heard). However, the flow has recently changed. Management of training courses became strict.


Recently, on Twitter, a story such as "It is a consensus opinion of a great person in the Japanese language education world that it is necessary to have a master's degree at the minimum if you want to get a decent job in the Japanese language education world" There were many opinions that I was "uncomfortable" in my surroundings.  However, apart from whether education emphasis is important or bad, I think that it is very good to send out and to know that it is actually the case. Certainly, Japanese teachers think that if they only want to work, I think that they are relatively university education, work experience, age-independent jobs, but it is a fact that they can not live in jobs that can work there. And since it is true that it is necessary to qualify as a master in order to teach at university or become a lecturer on training courses, I think it is important to know the tough reality. At least it's better than cheating people with sweet words.

My opinion is that there is no doubt that the master's qualification will be useful in the Japanese language education someone to write a research paper industry, but given the investment and return, I dared to move to another industry and relocate that money and time to another thing I think that it is better.
